The Four Suits...
This deck is a darker, apocalyptic reimagining of the traditional Hungarian playing cards. The four suits – hearts, bells, leaves and acorns – now summon the horsemen who bring the end of the world: War, Famine, Pestilence and Death.
The stories were gathered by the Cursed Chronicler, who reveals the memories of dark times card by card: the legacy of torment and struggle hidden in the four suits.
This deck is not just a game but a reminder of the shadows of the past – of how the four horsemen of the apocalypse ravaged our homeland.
Hearts
War
The Hearts are the cards of wars thundering across plains soaked in red blood. They show the endless cycle of violence: where courage finds its sibling in cruelty, and triumph and downfall are woven together in an eternal circle.
Bells
Famine
The suit of Bells evokes the terrible reality of famine: lands made barren under the scorching summer, empty bowls and bare fields. The cards tell of the silent pleading of hungry eyes and the tragic efforts of those who tried to help, often fighting famine in vain.
Leaves
Pestilence
The Leaves are the suit of sickness, epidemics and the plague: an invisible force that strikes without warning, leaving terror and lament in its wake. The cards show humanity's desperate struggle against the burning fever, the agony of the afflicted and the unstoppable spread of contagion.
Acorns
Death
The suit of Acorns immortalises the eternal struggle against mortality. Stories of those who broke even the laws of nature to defy death. Last breaths buried beneath the inevitable pale silence of winter.
